Default Pronunciation??

I had a quick question on the pronunciation of nismo. I pronounce it as "nee-smo." Just as if I was saying nissan as "nee-sahn." But I've heard others pronounce it as "nis-mo." Just like the brits pronounce nissan as "nis-uhn." It's really an irrelevent question that I just wanted to see what the general consensus was.

check wikipedia on the pronunciation of "nissan" -- same idea for "nismo". Just remember to enunciate.

Nissan is a Japanese brand name so I would guess it would be pronounced like it is in Japanese. I think that is Neesan. Nismo is an English abreviation for Nissan Motor International. Being that it is English, I would guess it would be pronounced Nismo(as in gizmo). Out of curiosity, how do you pronounce Porche or Chevrolet?

Well, I always hear reps from Nissan say nis-mo so that is the way I say it.

If you're a gaijin then it's Nismo.
If you're Japanese or pronouncing it correctly Nas-im-o

Japanese people would say Neez-moh. "I"s are "E"s in Japanese.
