Was curious if when you got your Z, did people you know order or get one cause the saw or rode on yours. Here's my little experience. I got one of the last one's on the first preorder shipment in Miami (aug-oct 2002), my dad kept tryin to talk me out of it, as you can see it didn't work. When Oct came around I picked her up and he had to let my dad test drive it once since he helped me get it. Well needless to say I brought mine back to MD and about 2 months later he called to tell me he put in an order for the Infiniti G35 Coupe. He fits in that one better. Plus I was the first one on my base to have one (am still only one) few months later I see another G35 running around. Well just curious to see if anyone has similars stories.

Yeah, this guy I know who lives in Atlanta, from playing online games. I posted that I got the Z on a message board he frequents and he posted a pic of his car. He had the exact same car I had just traded in, little did I know. I told him he had good taste, posted a pic of my old car and we had a laugh. A few days pass, and a pic shows up of a silver 350z. He said that I sparked his interest and he fell in love with it. Gotta keep up with the Jones'!

A buddy of mine is going to be getting a 350z roadster soon. Seeing the car in person when I went up to the bay area to visit made up his mind. He was all but settled on a boxster before that. I've saved the world from another boxster!

My Z purchase was in reaction of my father's originally owned 1970 240Z. We bought and somewhat restored my first car, a 1977 280Z. Now I am 28 and thought I would carry on the tradition with my 350Z. My father, last week, not to be out done, bought a G35C. Is that enough Z?

I thought I was the only one for a sec, thats cool. As for mcclaskz well as we all should know the G35C has same engine 7 less hp and just cosmetic differences, and was inspired off the Z, so yea I'd say its enough Z. another thing that gets me is our cars were thought of a made first. Infiniti (even though their Nissan) sees how popular and how many are waiting in line to get one so they come out with the G35C. And who gets the Car & Driver car of the year??? The G35C!!! and the sedan!! what a crock!

A guy I work with is about to get a G35C. I talked him out of getting the Z - wanted to be the only one at work. "You need the back seat, it's a great buy." I haven't taken him for a ride in the Z yet so he has no idea....

My Z has been very good for my dealership. I was the 2nd Z they got in back in September. It came in on a Saturday while I was working, and by the time I got there to pick it up there were people back in the shop checking it out. Just while I was signing the papers 2 more people put in orders after seeing mine in person.
After I had had it for about a week, a guy in a Maxima waves me down and asks if I can pull over at the gas station up the road to check out my Z. He loved the car and told me he owned the new pizza place down the road. I was down at the dealership getting my first oil change and I talked to the salesman I bought my car off of and he said they had just sold a car exactly like mine, same options, color, etc - to a guy who owned the new brother's Pizza. Its seems funny that he bought exactly the same car from the same dealership and the same salesman just because he saw my Z!

Let's see.....

Fell in love with my Aunt's 1975 280Z in '79 - I was 8.

At 18, I bought that 1975 280Z car off of her - I still have it. At 25, I bought a '90 Twin Turbo. At 29, bought a 1983 280ZXT mint. My mom loved it so much, I gave it to her. At 30, bought another '90 Twin Turbo with 410hp. I'm 32... Looking at a Le Mans Sunset Track tomorrow with the same Aunt that had the original '75!!! By the way, she also has a 1985 300ZXT, mint.

So.... Between all of us, we have 4 generations of Z cars... Possibly a 5th gen as of tomorrow!!!

Z Fever runs DEEP!!!! ;0)

Here's a good one. I bought my Z in November and had been talking to my Nissan sales guy for at least 2 months before that, coming in to look at what he had in stock and to see what the inventory was coming in on future shipments. Of course until my order came in I had to keep coming back to look at other Z's on the lot, talk to him about my car, you know, the regular obsession type thing.

Well ever since my obsession began, my sales person became Z obsessed, getting the itch too and saying he wanted one. Sure enough by January he had his own Z, same as mine.
