Dealer claims it took 5 1/2 Quarts of Mobil 1 to fill my car...

Is this possible? Or did he pocket one of my bottles? In the past, it's taken 4 1/2 or 5 MAX.
Any thoughts?

The owners manual (section 9-2) recommends 5 qts if changing the oil filter;
4-5/8 qts if not changing the oil filter.
