Question Does your gas cap door fit flush wit body

I dunno if anyone else has this problem but when I close the door to the gas cap it doesnt sit flush with the body, you can push it flush but it pops right back. And having the blue one and since the gas door sits at a different angle than the body producing an appearance of a different shade of blue when looked at from behind. i dunno anyone else have this problem and is there a way to fix?

Im just waiting for someone to make it out of metal or CF, anything with more strength than plastic. and a better fit.

Mine sticks out a little at the bottom but it's not bad enough to really bother me.
I do wish it was made out of metal though, it just seems kind of cheezy to have it made out of plastic....

Someone mentioned that the problem for some people was that they were not putting the plastic cord attached to the cap behind the metal tab at the lower right side of the opening.

SunsetZ is right.. You have to make sure the plastic cord that holds the cap is tucked away in a certain position. I had the same problem but I now make sure the tie is positioned behind the metal tab and the cover looks perfect. Give it a try BEFORE you start bending the bracket..

I've never had a problem with mine. It's a slightly different shade of DB, but I already knew that was going to happen.

I just noticed this as well on my last fill up. I'll check to see if the cord is getting in the way of the metal tap. Thx!

I'm telling you with slight pressure you can make it fit exactly just try to bend the entire thing with your hands. Not to hard obviously but constant pressure for about 30 seconds in the proper direction will fix this permenently.

The only problem I have had is pushing the open button and the door not opening. Seems to take a couple of times for it to pop open. Any suggestions for increasing the force on whatever pushes the gas door open?
