Default VDC OFF = Off till Ignition Cut

I noticed that if i turn VDC off with my car running. I can't turn it back on without killing the ignition. Is this normal behaviour?

Cheers

wait a minute.

are you turning it off so that you can drift?

if you turn it off, and drift, then yes you are correct. it wont turn back on until you cut the ignition.

if you turn it off and drive normal (for whatever reason why u would want to turn it off) and dont drift, then try and turn it back on, and it will not engage, then that is not normal.

I think it should light up the vdc off and the slip light if you have to cut the ignition. If the vdc off light is the only one on then it should act as normal, meaning you have control.

Ok i'll describe it better..

Car on. I turn VDC off. Light comes on.. I slide her around a few turns.. Push the VDC button and it wont turn back on. I have to turn the car off. Back on. Then VDC is enabled again.

Honestly i've never turned VDC off and not thrown it around a corner. So maybe this is normal as above.

I turn my VDC off all of the time because it seems too sensitive. I maybe in the minority, but I like having control over my car. I don't want the brakes cutting in or the power being affected. I've driven three winters on Blizzaks and haven't had any problems with the VDC off. Are there any advantages that I am missing?

if u turn off vdc and then do some drifting/donuts/etc.. it will require you to turn the car off before vdc can be reactivated. completely normal, nothing to worry about.

not a clue why it is programmed that way. maybe so you don't accidentally turn it back on during spirited driving.

You can buy the KP module so that you can turn it on and off whenever you want.

Hey Baby LOL..why don't you try turning VDC off, DO NOT spin the wheels, and try to turn it back on again. Should work. This way you'll know everything's working as it should.
