chrome hatch badging
bought a 2003 Z last week with 8500km on it... i noticed yesterday that it does not have the chrome 350z badge on the left hand side of the hatch... the car has never been in an accident... the VIN is in the low 2000's... was the addition of the badge a mid-model year change that i missed out on? I also don't think it's a canadian model-trait because every other Z that i've seen here in Vancouver has the badge...

The badge must have been removed. It's only held on by heavy glue or tape so it can be removed without much trouble. My VIN ends in 1890 and I have the badge. Guess you can order a replacement from your local dealer for a few dollars..
Good Luck

thanks dude... the news about the glue is welcomed news... i was hoping i wouldn't have to have someone drill holes in my hatch to put one on... if that was the case i wouldn't have done it... thanks again...

Redline Red, performance, light gray leather... i've had it for 10 days... i didn't like the red in the pictures i saw on-line, but saw it in person and nearly **** my pants...
No mods planned--i hate it when clowns ruin cars that are this sweet from the factory... the only thing i'm going to do is install a sunroof from a company that Morrey Nissan reccomended... they've got brouchures at the dealership including pictures of an install... i cringe at aftermarket sunroofs, but this looks anything but "add-on"... plus the $1200 price tag would indicate a quality product... the glass slides back ontop of the roof, rather than *into* the roof because of the roof curve...
Very sweet ride-i gladly traded in my '99 Mustang GT that i had for 2-1/2 years on it... couldn't unload that piece of crap fast enough... that was 2-1/2 years of my life i'll never get back...
Enjoy the Z
