hope this does'nt silly but
what's up with the dip stick on these cars. every tmie i check the oil it takes
8 or 9 tries to get it back in place, real pain. other than that these cars are a blast to drive and i traded a vette in on mine a 04 roadster.

Agreed. The dipstick placement on my '04 ZR is just plain stupid. Once I got it jammed against the engine wall and spent 20 minutes trying to gently remove it. Prolly my fault for being careless w/ a part I knew was difficult, but still a major pain in the ***. I think later models have the dipstick relocated.
yep, worst dip stick dip **** on any car I've seen. The '07s solved the problem in a huge way. All I can say is that with practice it gets easier, but you still need light if in a garage.

Honestly ease of dipstick use was one thing I was really looking forward to when I sold that car. Then i went and got a Z and screwed that whole plan up.

I don't know if this works for everybody, but when I put the dip stick back in.. it gets stuck about half way in.. when this happens I twist the dipstick a little as if it's a screwdriver, then it goes it in smoothly. Try that next time..
