This is the most dangerous time period, just after it starts to rain. The oil and grease on the road has not yet been washed off and the road becomes very slick. The road becomes less slippery after it has been raining for a while. Sounds like you were driving too fast for conditions. Best of luck with the insurance company.

 

If it hadn't rained for awhile, the oil gets built up even more and the first heavy rain is a bad time for sliding. Worst spots are hills(more force on tires) dips in the road(cause leaky engines to drop their oil) and of couse corners where G forces will force away droplets of oil. That's a real bummer. Be glad you are OK and it was a guardrail rather than an oncoming car.

Not the first time I have seen members hit guard-rails with the rear, but unusual. I assume that you are unharmed.

What brand of rear tires?
Miles on the tires?

 

The tires are Nitto NT555s and probly 10k or so decently hard miles on them.

Nitto 555 is not a very good wet tire, though it is advertised as such.

ur car will be definately totalled. Nissan cars are so damn expensive to repair. My moms maxima cost 5grand to repair what looked like a bent hood, messed up bumper and headlights. It ended up having minimum frame damange, radiator damage, slight engine accesorries damaged..ect. I can tell you that you have frame damage just from looking at the picture.
The Z is a solid car, you must've hit hard!

 

 

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think they will fix a car that has frame damage due to safety reasons. At least I don't think they are supposed to.

My Z had 20k in damage and they fixed it I was pretty pissed about it but if there had been frame damage they would have totaled it.
