Having doubts on base model

Bantering, huh?
A little bantering never hurt nobody...
In my humble opinion, I believe the Performance Model gives you the best value of the bunch. It's the closest thing to the Track version without having to shell out extra dough for the brakes, light wheels and aero pkg. (yuck!). That's why I went with it. I love the 18"s. But I don't need the "superlight" 18"s. And the brakes? Plenty of stopping power as I won't be on a track anytime soon... That's my logic.
Obviously, the wheels and tires were of great importance to me, and of course, all the little "extras" you don't get with the base model.
I do see the Enthusiast as the other great value, but I gotta have those 18"s off the lot (I won't be upgrading anytime soon). Not to mention the VDC and the snappy tire pressure monitor just for ***** and giggles...
To each his (and her) own!

Well, they are right...one time we shaved a whole .01 seconds off of our turn into the 7-11.

as a side note....this LSD is of the viscious (sp?) type, and is not a locker type or anything fancy like that. in other words.....one wheel has to spin a little to drag the opposing wheel. It will not be a miracle worker at low speeds....you will still have the outer wheel making some noise.
Additionally, I suspect (but this is an opinion) that in a wet situation, an LSD could cause both wheels to spin (as its supposed to) and you fish tail. Maybe, if you did not have an LSD, then at least one wheel still has traction.
Me...I upgraded cuz Im stupid and I feel like I NEED these things now, but I have priced the car out of my budget by doing so!

Correct. $29, 161.19 all told.
I'll pay cash for my floor mats, cargo mat, and kick plates from the dealer either before my car arrives, or when I pick it up. I'll still have some bucks left over to treat myself to something, and keep the price under the $30K I had promised the wifey.
