Default So what sacrifices have you made for your Z?

The reason i am starting this thread is because i am going to the west covina meet on the 15th and i live In the Palm Springs area wich is about hour and forty five min away. By the way this event starts at 8am. So that means i have to leave by 6am to get there on time, wich i will (free food man). So that further means i have to get up at 5:30am, and all for a couple hour meet and possibly a run afterwards. I am total cool with this as a matter of fact i didnt even think twice, so the problem is my wife thinks i am totaly nuts. The month before i did the same thing for the angeles crest run with OnedirtyZ wich was a nice little run and a hole lota fun, but it wasnt at 8am, it was at 10am, so not so early. Onedirtyz thought i was a litlle crazy for driving so far for a little run, well mabe not so crazy but she looked at me kinda funny. So i am thinking mabe i am a little extreme enthusiast.

How about you guys and girls? what are some of your stories?

I decided to move back home when I came back to Atlanta instead of keeping my crappy altima and getting an apartment. Granted, that would have caused other problems, but moving home with the parents is not fun after being gone for 6 years.

I drove 3 hours each way to pick up some rims for the Z, but that is about it so far. Only owned the car for a month so I am sure there will be many more things!

I'm sure they're thinking the same thing.

Here's where your parents and I differ. If you moved back in with me and then purchased a Z, you'd have 3 months to find a place to live.

No car is worth moving back in with the parents. I would have had you living in that car if showed up driving a z after moving back in.

I've never taken food in my Z, I've taken an entire lunch break to clean bird crap off the paint and rewax the spots, I've always parked far away, even in the rain.
I spend 55 bucks every oil change to do it myself cause I buy royal purple. I spend more money on my car than I do on everything else combined. I've run out in lightning to put on the car cover when I wasn't at home to put it in the garage during storms. I've taken different roads to get to my destination just to avoid water, sprinklers or dirt... so in conclusion, I love my car!

I took three virgins to the top of Mt. Arirat, sacrificed them to Gigie, the god of insecurity, bathed in their blood, and then wiped myself down with a disinfected Handi-Wipe, all for my Z. I love virgin sacrifices.

Interesting decision... I moved out at 26 and asked the same question, hot car or living on my own, then I envisioned what I'd say to women...

"Hi, I'm 26, with a hot car... and I live with my parents"
or
"Hi, I'm 26, with an average car, and have my own place"

That put off the Z for 4 years. My sacrifice has been not buying a Porsche 911 for 3 years, which I'm hoping to rectify this summer.
