Photochop Rear Tailight Treatment!
Could be old news, but I found this quite interesting nad I actually would prefer either one of these types of setups over production. I think the lights in the bumper broke up the smooth flowing lines (or a**) of the Z. What about you guys?

Yeah, I am now so used to the rear that I don't really have any problems with it. I am surprised, though, that lots of people have bashed the rear of the car, but not the front. I personally like the back, but think the front is almost too plain. My least favorite view of the 350Z is the ground level photos with straight on shots of the front (grille, badge, hood, lights). I think nissan could have done a little more with the lower area around the grille - I actually liked that Gold concept cars front better - the bigger grille looked more menacing and aggressive. Dont get me wrong, I love the car and am still getting mine, but would like to see some lower front fascia options from NISMO.

nope makes the back look like its missing something... i think someone here tried some sort of similar thing also....
awile back at least....
yep I chopped that one 3 months ago, still have one version left on this machine I believe.

I think the original way is the best. If you take away the reverse lights, then the butt will look even larger. Just look at the 2nd generation eclipse. At first Mitsu had the reverse lights next to the license plate. Then in '97 (i think), they moved them outward on the rear bumper to reduce the visual weight. Nissan got it right the first time.
you'll have to excuse this one it's a little fuzzy, I did some lowering of the rear end and trimmed it down as well. I gave it a little bit of a MG rear type tail light.
btw: as you can see these are chops done with Jeff's spy picks.

ugh. All of these chops are ugly! Nissan got it right the first time with the reverse/tail lights in the rear. Makes it look not so fat. It's the same with the door handles -- if they weren't there then the sides would look "slab sided."
I'm sure Bob Lutz would agree in the end. :-)
