Anyways, I ordered my plates online for NJ and I got a question for anyone here who can answer it. I went to the website and do it all but now I have a doubt. I'm fine with what I got on the plate, but I'm a bit frightened on how it might come out. Not to give away what I put on it, but we'll use a normal 4 Letter word instead like BLOW. Anyways, there were 7 empty spaces to enter your stuff. I put BLOW in the first 4 spots, clicked preview, and it showed it centered looking great. After some thinking, I decided to get this plate. I finished it off and payed. I noticed on the receipt and it showed "BLOW***" on Standard with * meaning spaces. Now, in the preview it showed it being centered, but will it come like BLOW____ with it all the way to the left side? I really can't figure this out. I called them and she said what you previewed will be what you get. When I went back in there and messed with my other cars plates, I moved my word down one, two, then 3 spaces and it said it was available even though it was the same exact word. When I put the word in the first 4 spaces, it said it was unavailable. Anybody got any clue whats up? I emailed them as well and hoped for the best.

FYI: BLOW is not the what I chose, it's just an example. I don't wanna show what it is until it's official.

I just don't want it to be all the way to the left of the plate.

"swallows" is 8 letters. try that one.

 

Well I called the MVC and I asked the people, she said it would come out all the way to the left. Then when I mentioned it previewed it centered, she said it would come out centered. Her confusion got me fretting.

 

When was the first time you saw a personalized plate that was left-justified?

I can't recall one.

it will only come out centered if you actually chose empty slots before and after "BLOW"

like when you choose a letter/number(etc) and the list drops down, there is an actual blank option and if you choose it, it will account for 1 of the 7 characters.

 

I think most likely it will be centered....Iv'e never seen anything less than 8 letters on the left side of the plate...
