The VQ is a very smooth engine, in acceleration, decceleration (sp?), and even bouncing off the rev limiter, haha.

Its the same difference. The rev limiter cuts off the fuel deposit going into the engine, making it shut down for a short period of time. Boucing off the rev limiter I believe is just a catch phrase coined because the car kind of 'bounces' when the engine shuts down.

It'll be fine. Its designed to function that way. Just learn to shift right before your redline! Set the shiftlight 100-200 RPM's before.

I almost snorted sprite out my nose.

Bounced my head off the rev ceiling today, it's like being slapped. Totally imagined it'd be a soft peg at redline, not this massive jerk from deceleration while I'm taking a 35MPH onramp at 70. Gotta get used to that.

I can relate. When I had my Z just a little while I got into it with one of those new V8 GTO's. In the launch he walked away ez and I kept pressing and hit the limiter. I felt scared and stupid at the same time.

I bounced the rev limiter on my dad's C5 Z06 after he added a RAM Air Induction system. There is no 1st gear in that car! LOL.

Actually i emailed my dealer (secretly) who i bought the Z from and they are selling it for 12,995, funny because i sold it to them for 10,250. Seems like a loss of profit for them because their Z was listed 2.5k under bluebook.

They will go bankrupt if they sell it for that price. If word gets out they will be ruined.
