Those of you waiting..Test this........
For those of you waiting for your 350Z to get here.
And want to see what this engine will be like, go test drive a G35 sedan. It has the same 3.5VQ as the Z, of course 27h.p. less.
I did this the other day and was very impressed. I took it up to 6 grand then a soft shift to 3rd. This engine is smoooth.
With the pedal only a 1/3 of the way down I was pushed back in to the seat. I didnt get on it all the way but this thing wanted to RUN RUN RUN. The auto with the manual shift was very very cool, no lag, smmmoooooth, I really really liked the auto. Im getting lazy driving and riding is more my thing now. Plus the auto has alot of Performance to offer anyone wanting to get on it. Also i think i read that it learns your type of driving and adjusts to your shift points? Like i said i was only into the gas about half way down and it went all the way to 6 grand.!
This is just some fun little advise I give to all of the forum readers.
The g35 gives a really good idea of what your 350z will be like.
Give it a try........g35's are on every infiniti lot.
For me i kind of like the idea of the coupe with the auto.
Just my 10cents..............my 2 cents are free!!!!!

I've thought about going down to my local Infinity dealer and trying it but just didnt feel like wasting anyones time because I have no intentions of buying a G35.Nice to hear some feedback on how the automatic shifts.I ordered and automatic Z so its comforting to hear that shifts smooth .This will be my first automatic so I hope it doesnt dumb the car down that much.Im sure the auto Z will be plenty fast

Bayarea,, dont worry about wasting their time! Salespeople are sharks lurking to make alot of money off of you! I see them as nothing but middlemen running back and forth to their bosses, while they have their hands in your wallet. Plus your in and out in 30 minutes, AND ITS A LOT OF FUN. Do it for the Z. Please.

go test drive a boxster S or S2000 it's fun, I didn't mind blowing off the porsche salesman either, I told him I liked the S2000 better (true).
You guys think audi drivers are full of themselves and their cars, wait till you meet a porsche salesman, drop a S2000 or 350Z bomb on them and wait for the double talk. It's comical really.
The only thing worse than a car owner that thinks he's the stuff because he drives a "name" car is a car salesman with the same attitude, I'd like to say to the guy "dude you probably drive a Hyundia and you're putting down nissan?"

rai, not to make this a salesman post ,BUT, I love to toy with them. Most of the time,um, 90% i know more about the cars then they do!!!! When i got my Toyota Tacoma in '95 i went back and forth between 2 dealers. I saved over $150/month and got the to take my trade in paid in full. The salesman that i did buy from told me he hasnt seen his G/Manager worked over that hard in a Long time. I like shopping for cars, And I love the "game", but im the one in control. Its fun to see them sweat!
NOW GO DRIVE A G35 AND FEEL THE 3.5vq POWER.

Do you guys think by testing the G35 sedan, one may get at least a "feel" of what the coupe may be like? I would think the ergonomics, interior design, power, etc. would be similar. I realize the differences, of course, but it seems many things would be the same. What do ya say?
