i will never let anyone drive the car. Had experience with my BMW 3 series. She hit the curb and scratched the front bumper, and since the 350Z is so low you better believe that no one else is going to drive it but me. Oh yeah i can see you like BLACK cars.HeHe..looks awesome when you clean it, but it is a pain when dust accumulates and you see all of the little swirls in the paint, but for that you get Zaino.

yes i do have zaino..but theres no point of using it now since im in atlanta and pollen season is still around, but nevertheless, it will deminish soon....

Since she pays for the car I let her drive it once in awhile. I have a lot of rules for here though.

*Don't drive close to cars on the interstate (rock chips)
*I will inspect the car when she gets home
*Don't park close to the curbs
*Etc, etc, etc

We've been together for 8 years so she knows how important cars are to me. It is nerve racking though.

There are three facts in my house that are absolutes that require that I allow my wife to drive my Z.

1. Saying no to my wife is a bad idea.
2. Saying no to my wife is a very bad idea.
3. The couch sucks.

She PAYS for the car, yet she has to get permission to drive it?!?!?!?!? I'd say you're a VERY lucky guy because there's no way in hell that would fly with me.

My husband hasn't driven my car yet, but I don't care if he does. I trust him to treat it as well as I do.

I haven't let my bf drive either of my Eclipses, but he may have to drive the Z every now and then since it is a stick and I am just learning I hate the thought of anyone, even family driving my cars.

Of course I would let my wife drive my Z. I drive her car and she can drive mine. She hasn't wanted to yet, but if she asks or doesn't have her car to drive, sure. I let our 22 year old godaughter drive it when she asked. She had great fun and when we got home my wife was surprised I had let her drive it. I said, why not, its just a car? She reminded me gently our cars are not insured for drivers under 25. Whoa, no more drives for the kid. I let my brother-in-law drive it, but that's it, outside my mechanic.

I love my Z just as much as the next guy but its just a car people.

Now if it was a Ferarri I would have to ride shotgun.

The only thing is I let her drive it one day cause I needed her SUV. She fell in love with it, now she knows its worth every penny.

Smile I just let my Wife drive the Z last week...

I picked up my Z on 1/25/03 and my wife drove it for the first time last week........

I gave her a key two weeks ago and she finally drove the car at about 3100 miles (picked it up w/ 6 miles). She didn't give me any lip about not being able to drive the car - she just gave me my space. Good wife.....

Besides her - NO ONE ELSE will dive my Z. Not my parents, my sister, fraternity borthers, etc.

Sounds reasonable.....

technically, the Z is my wife's car, but we both drive 'our' cars. We are both car freaks and both are carefull about parking, curbs, shifting, and all the other normal things the car freaks obsess over

I'm teaching my g/f to drive standard on it... she's doing pretty well after only 3 lessons.

The way I figure it.... it's just a car!

1) I have warranty.
2) She can pick me up from work in it.
3) I love her more than I love the car.

If it breaks... oh well... fix it or get a new one...

Of course.

A- its fun to drive, and I like sharing fun things with my wife
B-Shes covered by insurance, so no probs there
C-Its just a car. They are ment to be driven, and with that comes scrapes, chips and occasionaly, dents. They can all be fixed, so relax, and let those you trust drive it.

Would I let anyone drive it? No. I know my wife won't abuse the car, and if something happens, it won't be for lack of responsibility, so I don't sweat it.

Yeah, I pretty much let anyone drive it (who I trust). How can I keep all that bliss to myself. I know what I do in it and I doubt they can out do me. Its only a car and all of my friends know that its their A$$ if they bend it up.

I mispoke. I meant that since she works part of the money that is paying for the car comes from her.

Also I try not to go with her. I'd rather not know what she is doing to my car.

After driving it a couple of days to work I think she has had enough. She says it rides to rough compared to her Camry.

Okay, I can understand her chipping in for bills, etc. And most girls probably will think the ride is too rough. Me? I want that S-Tune suspension!

My Z arrives mid-May and I've already asked my wife where she would go and who with on her first drive in the Z.

My wife is not a "car person" but she is a grown woman, anything bad wouldn't be from misuse, acidents can happen to anyone, besides as others have noted it's just a thing.

My father let me drive his Z to my work for a week, and he had just purchased it the other day. I didn't even have to ask, he threw me a set of keys and told me I could drive it until I left back for college (I was home for christmas at the time).

We both drive all of our cars
The Z will be my daily driver though while the Formula is his daily driver. The only car that does not get driven often is the WS6 Formula. She's a garage queen. She's been feeling a little squished latley though sharing the garage with the Z.

sure why not,

This car is my most prized material object, by far.

Though, its just a car. 2 or 3 years from now, I'll have a different one, and 2-3 years after that, the same routine, hopefully they will all be Z's!

Now if only she knew how to drive a manual tranny,
Eric

hmm..i knew there was a reason I got the 6 speed..hehehe..
