I can go down to 35 comfortably in 6th gear, spinning around 1.2K anything lower, like 30, start to bog her down.

No kidding. at 35 mph I'm in 3rd or MAYBE 4th gear tops. Seems I rarely use 6th for anything other than stints on the freeway. Don't even use 6th on winding roads where I can consitanaly maintain 55 mph

I live in a pretty hilly area, in and out of town. Only go into 6th on flat straights at about 40. To avoid tickets I use cruise control a lot and it is jerky under 40. I try to get good milage, but there is a limit to my trying.

If your stopping and going a lot, it won't make much of a difference. To see a really good MPG rating, you need to be cruising at a constant speed. I was able to do 28-29 mpg cruising from southern GA to TN at about 75mph.

I usually run 6th for anything over 45mph , well at least i shift into 6th at that time. I also skip shift all the time too. 1 to 3 to 6th never going over 3k RPM

Same here. I average right around 20-21 mpg with a mix of city/highway driving. I feel your pain too, Jersey is the most densly (sp) populated state and there is always construction going on to make things more interesting. Haha.

I only use 6th if I'm crusing 50+ and the RPMs are near 3k. 6th brings that down to 2.5k or so.
yes definitely, although I don't feel much until it gets over 40 or so
