Stupid Question, But I'm Bored
For me it has nothing to do with VDC or ABS because, firstly I don't have VDC, and I don't have to be on the brakes or even turning for it to happen. Engine braking also has absolutely NOTHING to do with a clutch. I've started a thread on the noise/vibration before and posted in a few other threads - nobody seems to know what causes it. Anyone who has any legitimate ideas - I'm all ears.
The ABS on these cars will come on at any time a wheel looses traction. Iven with the VDC off it still takes care of a botched downshift. Now if i pull the VDC fuse , ABS also disables at the same time. No more problem , will till a problem happens.

I mean, it could just be the front tire slipping or the front suspension. Since, in a RWD when you're turning (especially when slowing rapidly or going downhill, when this mostly happens to me) it puts a lot of force on the front tire opposite the turn. Especially if you get any significant amount of lateral torque in the body -- i.e. no sway bars.
I swear I recognize the sound and vibration, but I don't know where from. I know its not a happy sound.
