I lost my last Z in an accident. Its been 3 months, I have been researching and contemplating what I should buy... I drove the Vette-great car BTW, the M3- fassst! and german engineering, the s2000- quick, but feels like riding on rails, used Porsche Carrera 997- fell in love with it. But when all was said and done, I was at the Porsche dealer ready to sign the papers. I look out the big glass window and low and behold, its an 07' Z. I couldnt keep my eyes off it. The Porsche is a great car obviously, dad has one, but I will appreciate it more when Im older. The Z saved my life in the accident and I felt more comfortable in it than any other car I drove
haha. So I decided to do it, went to the Nissan dealer, told the GM there what I wanted, no BS, no haggling, just sell me an 07' San Marino Blue and he said "Great! Now lets find out how long the back order is"..
So now I am waiting for my new GT to come in!!! I cant wait, it felt just like when I drove my first Z except faster and smoother
good choice! i was also at a dilemma right before i purchased my second Z. it was either the honda s2000, bmw m3, or Z. the S and the M are great, but i'm in love.
my Z's currently at the shop (warranty work). it's been there since thursday, i'm suppose to get her back monday but the wait is killing me. i stopped by today just to look at her and make sure she's okay and came home. am i crazy?

You know its funny you mention that it took you 3 months, because a guy at the dealer when I was leaving goes "good luck man, it took them 3 months to get my Z.. I hate the wait" lol

lol that's awesome. i think waiting 3-4 months for the 07 Z is way better than walkin out with a new porsche. if you're not 40+ yrs old, it juss looks kinda weird to drive a porsche. lol

lets not kid ourselves here....id rather drive a porsche and look weird
In the REALLY nice Porsche I see, they are mostly older guys. I wouldn't mind a Porsche at all, but when you compare a Cayman and a Z and they perform almost equally for a $20k price difference, it doesn't make sense.
I want a 911 GT3 anyway.

Porsches are awesome cars, no doubt. I truly believe that you will appreciate a porsche when you are mature enough for it. My dad waited a long time before he got one, he was 47 or 48. I figure I'll do the same, wait til I am atleast mid 30's. Im not even 25 yet, I'd rather enjoy the Z for a few more years before Im willing to give it up.
