Default Vandalism on My 350Z!

Today started out great. The wife and I decided to go see the movie Fracture today, I parked the car away from everything,(because door dings suck) and when the movie was over I approached my Z and found a nice key mark along the right rear fender about 24" long!!! What the f*ck!! It took me hours to calm down and I realized what is wrong with people? I just wanted to rant and to possibly know if anybody in the community has had the same problem and how much the scratch can cost to fix? I am not going to claim it on Ins..because my deductable is $500.00 and I think it will cost less than that!! any suggestions?

Man that just sucks. You want to take care of your car, so you park farther away, but then some vandalizes it. Thats just Bullsh*t!!!

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully its just not too deep, and you can just have someone spray it with new clear coat or something!

Haven't the faintest unless I can see it. If the scratch is in the clearcoat, a body shop may be able to buff it out. If the scratch is into the paint, then only a repaint will work.

The deepest part of the scratch goes down to the "whitish part" of the primer...I just took a pick so give me a couple of minutes.

I feel for you man. It happened to my G also, although the scratches go vertical on both doors. I noticed them when I was hand-washing the car a few days ago. I'm beginning to suspect that it is someone from my work. Thankfully the scratches aren't that deep. I used ScratchX to remove them.

There are indeed some very inconsiderate a**holes in this world. They're simply jealous and they have no respect for other peoples property.

If the scratch is into the primer, then it is definitely a repaint. Sorry.

We need to expand the scope of "justifiable homocide."

Again, the "justifiable homocide" thing...

Do you have any photo-editing software or a photobucket account?
