Last night i left my house around midnight for a nice quite beach spot about 88 miles north of Fort Lauderdale called Hobe Sound .

I just had to clear my head......... My usual driving style is aggressive and I would usually get 16 mpg and as low as 12 mpg . Last night for the first time in my 12 years of driving , I just cruised between 55 and 68 mph and shifting at 2200 rpm's while in town .

Checking my millage all throughout the trip i was amazed that i was seeing 26.5 and it climbed to 28.2 !! Also i saw my range climb to 400 miles . On the way back home i kept looking at the miles to empty gauge and when i was 152 miles in the trip it was displaying 385 miles to go !! Wow never in my life have i driven so relaxed , it was a nice change of pace . I had the windows down and the AC off . This was the best mpg's i have ever seen while i was driving !!

I am a little more relaxed now but still have my head full of shit............ but thought i would share mine and the Z's accomplishment .

 

eh mine always says 25mpg and 500 mile range and stuff but I don't get any better than 17mpg.

 

When i ever fill up the range on showed me as high as 320 miles . The last reading of 385 was after driving 152 miles . That is what amazes me .

 

As stated elsewhere, I averaged 29.7@ 70mph this past weekend after installing my exhaust. I was averaging 25.

 

thats not an accurate way, you have to measure the distance and the amount of gas, that meter is just an approximation
