Default My new PPW 07 Z

So, got this about 3 weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to take pics yet. Just waxed it up and took some pics. Only thing I've done has been Eibach springs 1.2" drop and 25% tint all around. Still looking for some Volks for these, then after that it's probably going to be performance cats and exhaust as nothing much else out there right now for the 07 model. Prior to this I owned the IS350, two fast cars, two different rides.

Thanks guys. Was at Wheels Direct's (also a forum member, ask for Chris, great guy!) warehouse yesterday and was able to check out some of their wheels. I put the black Volks SF-Challenge next to my car and FELL IN LOVE, but their shipment was missing one front wheel and it looks like it will be a while before he gets it =/ Also put the Volks Time Attacks (limited edition with the red ring) on, liked it, but seems the red circle might throw it off unless I paint the calipers...still deciding on it. Other than that, the Volks GT-S is the only other one I want, Gun metal looks like it would go great with the white, someone here does have Mercury Silver in stock of it, but I have seen no pics on how they look or might look on white.

How does the engine compare to your IS350?

Very nice. I would hold off on the hi-flow cats for now, i don't think the old ones bolt up to the '07's.

Nope, you're not. The damn splash guards are not paint matched...and they are somewhat loose (wiggle a little when ya wash/wipe them). I contemplated taking them off, but not sure if that would leave any adverse holes. I believe, when I looked, don't appear to be normal Phillips head screws either.

Well, I haven't been really able to gas this as I am trying to be a good boy and break it in (though I have gone over the 4k once or twice). The IS350, once in Power mode, was pretty damn sweet. It was a more aggressive setting and if I was in drive already in 6th, if I stepped on the gas, it auto down-shifted to 3 or 4 with just a wicked burst.

However, it did NOT feel sporty, and spirited turns just did not feel right in it. Without adding the Greddy exhausts and Fuji Intake, the car's stock engine just did not sound sporty at all. I LOVE the stock exhaust tone on this car and if I do go the exhaust route, would probably just be Nismo since I heard it's just a slightly more aggressive tone than stock. I heard there's an R-Tune and S-Tune version though? No clue on difference.

No competition on the interior though, definitely more comfortable in the IS350, both have sucky rear view sight, but man, there's no blind spot sight on the Z and backing out in the parking lot next to SUV's stinks. I do look forward to seeing the two door IS though, I hated the fact that it was a 4 door. My gf believes the passenger side of the Z is roomier than the IS, which I'd have to agree on.

Welcome & Congrats Hump Boy!

I think that 28% is the legal tint level in Florida.

Remove the splash guards.

PPW FTW!

Thanks for the good info, I was given the impression by someone that they were the same. Is it the same issue with test pipes on hte 07's?

I thought 30% was legal limit? Almost went 15%, but the last time I had them seeing at night was a biatch, and it definitely won't be easier with the limited views in this car at night with the lower percentage!

I'm gonna try and see if I can pull the guards off manana!

Nice.....White in my opinion is the cleanest color you can get on a Z. Did you lower your Z already?
