I am 17, and looking to buy my first car. I have been driving my Moms 1996 Honda Civic Dx about a year n half. I have 10gs to put down on my first car(Been saving). My choices are; 350z, g35, Suburu WRX, RSX, Honda SI, GTO.
I am Looking to buy the car new. Any opinions would be appreicated.

there a big joke about the rsx on the forum hes being sarcastic. Go with a wrx i woudl wait till your 21 then get a z. But its up to you if you never drove rear wheel drive you may wrap it up.

 

what r u looking for? AWD?RWD?FWD? Want 2 seats? want 4 door? Do u want a sports car or a sedan? Cmon man!!!

 

yea i was thinking about the WRX becuz its AWD and once I'm ready to get more power, its easy and cheap to mod it.thankz

I would choose a Z, but for a 17 y/o you may want to try something with a little less power, say a civic SI

Civics are cheap to mod , WRX and Z's are not. Get a civic for now, learn to drive and learn to work on a car.

 

Test drive some of the cars you like and see which one feels right for you. No matter what your choice of cars all sound good not too sure about the si though.I would lean more into the wrx or Z but hey its your choice good luck and be careful.

whats up with the hate for young drivers? its assumed just because your 17-19 you can't own a sports car or what?

do understand that there are some teens out there that like to ride in style, while being safe. its the face that the power is there, not that you have to use it.

kid buy a nice sports car, no one in here can tell you not to; but only buy it if you can be 100% sure you can control it and wont do stupid things. no one but you can say if your ready to own a 350z.
Sides, how many "I totaled my 350Z" threads are of 17 yr olds? most ive seen are mid 20's+ acting stupid, going to fast, hitting water and hydroplaning into a wall or ditch.

Thankz for ur post, i am goin to be 100% sure wat car im goin to get. As in right now im prob goin to go wit the WRX, its not cheap,fast,AWD. Once i learn how to handle a WRX then ill trade it in for my 350z i want.

 

It's true though, being 17 and having a Z is a death wish.
