Common already !!!! You guys were all this age at one point too. Stop trying to act like someone's financial planner. He simply asked you guys a logical question assumming we know a little more about cars then he does. Give him all the car/insurance advice that you possibly know of. But stop making generalizations about age and financial status. You have no clue what kind of person he is or what his financial plans are in his future. If some guys were telling you that you were an automatic faliure because of your age, then you would tell him to F**K off too !! He has X amount of dollars, and would like to know which car is the best for it, NOT where to pool his money. How he earned it or how much more he has of the green stuff is none of our business unless the OP decides to willingly share that information. If you want to throw down a hefty down payment and pay the rest in payments then so be it. Payments are just fine my man, helps you build credit for the future. I believe everyone wants to assume that you'll be in over your head. There negative attitudes and skepticism will only bring themselves down. This is all beginning to sound a bit redundant. Goodluck to the OP, I hope you gathered enough valuable information from those of us that were not trying to act like Donald Trump.

Being that I have been past that age and had many friends go past that age I can tell you that life changes a whole lot during those years and while he might be able to handle the payment just fine today or this summer doesn't mean that its going to be able to in a year.

Don't be that guy that has to live in a ratty apartment with 4 other guys because you have a big car payment or worse yet live in your parents basement so you can make car payments over living on your own.

I finally know wat im getting. I was giving the option to get a 350z but I've been reading alot of threads saying they lost control of there Z, Im not a stupid driver or noting its just i dont think im ready for a car wit that much HP to begin wit. I am getting a 2007 Honda Civic SI for starters. FWD and 197hp. Im goin to be driving the SI for 2 years and then trade it in for a new Z. Thanks for ur guys support. God Bless.

Good choice, but may I suggest maybe a Cobalt SS or SS Supercharged instead? They are slightly nicer cars, and have less of a negative connotation than a Civic. Oh, and the supercharger whine is freakin sweet!
