The recent Autoweek mag. had a one page spread on the '07 350z, which also mentioned a future redo for the Z in '09. I'll be getting a new Roadster as soon as their available.

-from my POV, while a new Z would be nice, if I were going to give up my 03, I'd want to upgrade (Corvette, Cayman, et. al.)
+1........upgrade

i wouldnt do it if the style or performance are almost identical to the previous years. it's just simply dumb and waste of money. (not trying to insult anybody who has done it). my suggestions are either wait for a bit for the complete new redesign Z or trade it in for another car (vette/g37/bmw 335/new evo/sti/etc). anyways, it's just my point of view so its still your call.

tough one...the new 07 can do a quarter in about 13.4, that's pretty damn fast.

I say if the thought of the new 07 gets you all gitty and excited like a little kid again then go ahead and get the new Z, you only live once

I think you are referring to 505HP Z06 Vette for about 75K. I've been doing some reach and you can probably get a 07 400HP Corvette coupe out the door w/ Z51 package(oil cooler, larger brake..etc) for about 45K or less (deep discount right now, considering the LS3 engine is coming out next year). But, I plan on waiting for the 08 vette with LS3 engine.

True, but if they cant reproduce the problem to fix it, why should he suffer a loss in value? Nothing is wrong with the car right?

I toyed for a while, thinking about trading off my '03.
I went looking for a G Coupe, stick shift.Since we have no Infiniti dealer here, the pickings were slim.
Weeks passed.I saw 2 Gs,but both were automatics.Later,in Tampa,a well-stocked dealer had a nice,red G Coupe,an '05 6-speed,but he would only give me $15,000 for my Z and was selling his car for $30.
I guess a stick G is as rare as a good deal on one.I passed.

Then I started thinking about the wisdom of trading.
My Z has only 53,000 on it,and it has been reliable (as soon as a few early bugs were straightened out) and fun as hell to own.I still have a strong pride of ownership, and I still get comments from the public at large almost everytime I drive it.

Running expensive Premium gas is no burden,It's like buying champagne for a special lady.Mechanically,it's fine.Nothing rattles, grinds or smells funny.I'm about to buy my third set of tires. The factory brakes--in the front--lasted until 48,000 miles.I'm still using the original rears.I'm thinking I'll squeeze every last depreciated dollar from it,and drive it to 100,000 just to see what happens.

And,I love the car. It's like something I waited all my life to own,and it showed up at just the right time. If,through some Disney magic,my Z anthromorphized into a real person,it would be my best friend. We would have a LOT to talk about. The only dillemma with that idea is,I'm not sure if the living Z should be a man or a woman.

I stopped thinking about trading.I decided that if my Z is now worth only $15,000 that I'm driving a bargain.

I will wait til mine gets around 70k then sell it. I only have 15k on a 04 so I expect alot more time in the Z. Also I wont buy another 350Z until a new version of it comes out. This will be my last 350. Not enough change to justify a new year model for me.
