Im in a dilemma right now..i right now have a 03 touring Z w/ the tranny grinding situation -.-, ive been trying to get it replaced but several times they couldnt reproduce it. actually im gonna go roadtest it tomorrow for the 3rd time. I want to keep my car but what would be the point of building the car more if the tranny isnt fixed right? i was thinking if anything trade for a 07 Z. do you guys think it'll be worth trading for another Z? or how many of you did trade for newer model?

 

The 2007 is a potent machine. Members have proven this with stock quarter mile ET. If you want a 2007, there is little need to rationalise. Get one.

No way, dude. Just hang on a little longer for the 370Z and the restyle. You'll be sorry if you don't.

 

 

If I were you... I'd either do it now... or wait a few more months and get the new G35 Coupe. But that's just me.

 

Newest Motor Trend just released states a "possible" mid 09 update on the Z. That's closest I have seen as far as a possible date from an actual magazine source. Unless someone has the "inside scoop"

 

Well, if the tranny is your 03 is crap then you're not going to get much as a trade-in. So you might have to pocket a good $10k or more to swap cars which is too much IMO. Keep trying to get the tranny fixed and hold out for another year or so. There are sooo many newer models coming out real soon.

 

I got an 03 and was thinking the same thing... Well 06-08 vette vs putting in a TT in my 350z... What to do what to do?

 

I cant see spending the money for a tad faster car. Wait and see what the new Z is looking like (3.7L?). Or drop the money on a supercharger. Those are just my opinions.

btw anyone got any news for the new model style? or when its gonna come out?

 

I thought about trading in my 05 Track for an 07, but they don't have a track model.

Besides, I have a lot of history with my car and an 07 isn't THAT much faster that I need to get out and have it. :shrug:

 

Then maybe you need to wait when the 3.7 is put into the Z

I love my 2005 Z and all the mods with it. Can't do it.

 

I did it and dont regret it i had on 03 the 07 is much faster and more redefined and looks more aggressive.And the interior is soooo much better go for it man you wont regret it.

 

I vote no. Here are the reasons:

-if your 03 is paid off, do you really want another car payment especially since...

-the 07 is not that much different than the previous model years

-if you get an 07, you'll be sorry once the 09 (?) Z comes out with the new 3.7 engine

-from my POV, while a new Z would be nice, if I were going to give up my 03, I'd want to upgrade (Corvette, Cayman, et. al.)
