I'm not really worried about dishing out my hard earned money for some gas but I'm just trying to limit down all the pros and cons between both vehicles and for the record the mustang gt works perfectly fine with mid grade. But anyway thank all of you who responded.

If you are trying to justify buying a Mustang GT over a Z by saving about 2 dollars every time you fill up then maybe you should just go buy the Mustang. Clearly you should not buy a Z.

On a long open stretch of highway, the difference is considerable. I get onwards of 33mpg once I get out of the city. City driving, however, is about the same.

BP 93.

Not all stations are making the advertised octane rating either, and you will know, as the Z will KR.

I would never put anything less than 93 in ever.

Move out west and depending on the state, you may not have a choice but to accept 91.

It's 91 or 100+ here. I'll stick with 91.
