My '05 has 33k miles on it (bought brand new) and has had virtually NO problems whatsoever. Only thing I had to ever do was fix the rear axle clicking problem which took the dealership an hour to fix.
Consumer Reports publishes reliability data. Worthwhile reference.
+1. The 350Z has at least average reliability for all years. Major issue is the individual car you buy. What condition is it in? How was it driven? Any accidents, etc. If you go pre-owned make sure you have it checked out by a reputable mechanic. Any used car is a gamble to some extent but the gamble is less if you cover your bases before you buy.
well 03-04 has tire feathering issues, 06 has oil consumption issues with the rev -up motor, what does 05 have? if 05 doesn't have tire feathering issues then i would say 05.....but i could be wrong.
I decided to get an 05 because they seemed to be one of the best overall years. Some of the 03's and 04's had tire feathering issues and transmission issues, and some of the 06's have oil consumption. I am so far happy with my choice!
