Base Z or not

lol @ all these base owners justifying their purchase by saying there is a weight advantage. seriously, lol @ you.
its what, 50 pounds of a difference? 99.9% of people wouldn't even notice the difference between the weight of a base and a higher model, and even if they did, performance wise, it wouldn't make **** for difference.
stop watching fast and furious, and go learn how to drive.

I went with the Enthusiast. I like my cc too much, and the stock vlsd appealed to me also. Now that I got used to the garage door opener on my mirror, I don't think I could go without it. Not to mention all this was only $1000 more than the base. Good deal if you ask me.

What model do you drive? - EDIT - N/M, you paid way too much to get Brembos.

I got a 07 base, but later regretted not getting the enth because of the lsd, steering wheel audio control, cruise control, auto dimm mirror (why does no one makes side auto dimm rear view mirror?), Home link transceiver (great feature), aluminum pedal (easier toe heel), traction control, and ONLY 7LB HEAVIER on the '07 model. Those options sounds more than putting custom ones. If you are looking at 07 model, get the enth, unless that's only going to be your track car.

You know, why don't you go put some TypeR stickers on your car, I hear it adds horsepower.

I shed as much weight as I can from my cars. So I say again... every pound counts. Especially when you ad it up and you're past 250lbs.
So I guess all base owners are now average joes. Whatever.

Enjoy those Type R stickers.

No, your logic is retarded. Type-R stickers don't add horsepower at all.
You should have no reason to convince me of anything. I auto-x. Tell me how shedding 250lbs isn't gonna change the way the car feels/performs while auto-xing.
Posting that you got nav is retarded (and borderline ricer if you ask me). Who gives a flying **** that you got something on your car that came from the factory? It's like me saying I got Brembos on my Evo.

Base is not the best bang for the $. Enthusiast is. If you can live without cruise. lsd, vcd, steering wheel controls, dim rear view mirror/ home link, aluminum pedals, go for base. If these things matter much, go for enthusiast. Remember you are getting alot more for a couple of grand. Personal preference is all that matters at the end. I had 04 enthusiast, and I luv it. Only reason I went with base is I got great deal, and it came with HID and 18". If this was not included, I would have opt'd out for enthusiast. Good luck with whatever you go with. When its all said and done, you will have a Z.

I got a Base and about the only stuff I wish I had in it is a LSD (plan on getting one), the homelink mirror (can buy it later) and the VDC & TCS. Anybody know if it's possible to add the TCS to a Base?
#38
base is base if you like base sure go with it. the best model in my opinion is the enthusiast, some gadgets and one of the lighter zs, best thing is having the traction control, limited slip differential, and cruise control. not too expensive either. best bang for your buck hands down.

I got a base because I don't need cruise control, steering wheel controls or any of the other little gadgets. LSD would have been nice but might as well get a better after market one with the money instead. TCS might have been nice but I can live without it.
