Default Drove thru flood last month?

I work in Wayne NJ. Last month I was forced to drive thru a flood on Route 46. I couldn't back up or anything. The rear axle was definitely under water as well as the the muffler...however, I made it through. I was pissed because I only had the car since January 2007 and I couldn't back up on the highway, because the highway traffic blocked the road, so everyone was merging forward...
I have not experienced any problems with the car since I bought it...however, after reading a previous post by another member, I'm wondering if I should have a mechanic check certain items....Since that day I've only had the oil changed (the car has 6000 miles)...What suggestions can you offer for me to have Nissan check if any?

Don't drive thru floods?
If the water damaged your car, you would definitely know it by now.
