Get what ever you like it's your money but may i point out your on a Z forum
Ask this queston on a S2K forum and the honda will win
Ask this question on a GTO forum and the GTO will win.
See what i am gettin at
I hate these questions with a passion, and I am not trying to be rude. But come on man, in the end if you need someone else making the choice for you then just get a mini van with a dvd player and ride in the back for the rest of your life.
Cheers
Kevin

GTO is a muscle car, Z and s2k are sports cars. Want a balanced car go for the Z. My bro has a 04 GTO and its brakes are poor also the handling, when comparing to my Z. The styling is too plain for a performance car.

If you are looking at value - consider what you can buy a GTO for, it has a 100k mile warranty, and runs (at the local track) 13.3's all night long with an average driver.
07 Z's run 13.6's all night long, not to say they can't do better, but I'm running in heat, and the other guys on the forum are right with me EXCEPT for 1....
The GTO WASTES a Z top end, but I still take them at the track on them making bad runs or having ****ty R/T's...
S2K I can't justify because of how small it is, but I just made the same decision. Went with the Z solely because it looks better and is still in production so resale won't make me broke.

FYI I don't even own a 350z yet, but I plan too. I have owned a ls1 powered TransAM. I will definitely go with the 350z. The GTO imho isn't worth it. They DISCONTINUED the car for a damn reason. It is no longer made. The car has nick name called the GOAT for a reason. It's a overweight slug. And it is definitely not as fast as some here make you believe. It may have the hp numbers but the weight just kills it.

The GTO can't go 180 mph either. Get your facts straight buddy. This is from a old LS1 owner.

You do realize the 05/06 models came with the LS2, eh?

So, why don't you come out with proof that shows it doing 180 mph, or stock 13.0 flat. Have you ever owned a LS1 powered car? Or been into the LS POWERED CAR SCENES? Didn't think so.

I said almost. It is estimated to be ~175mph top, which is pretty darn close. I have never owned an LS1, but then again, the 05/06 GTO isn't powered by an LS1.
I do own a Z06 though and know a thing or two about the series of motors.
Quit now before you make a total retard out of yourself.

LOL! Tell you what kid, visit gtoforum.com you might actually learn something.
Weight still effects topspeed. Not as much as the 0-60 but it still effects it.
3750~ lb is not light. And lets get into some details.
C5 vette, has a better top end due to weight (3200lb) and design can only do 177 mph. It beats the GTO in the top end. You REALLY think the GTO has that top end? NO. Oh btw, that was mentioned on the GTO forum. They seem to know more than you.
Like I said, back your statements up with facts. I see all the facts on that site.
