Default What makes your Z different ?

What have you done that you feel in different from 99% of the other Z's out there?

I'll start with the Z Badge turn signal mod. This mod is a led ring that is installed under the Z Side Badges. You can wire it up to come on with your lights or, blink when you turn on the blinkers. I choose to wire mine as a blinker indicator.

What have you guys/gals done that is different you think?

The twin turbo charged V12 with Vtech.

Or at least the stickers on my car that say that.

Please, let's be serious. I want to see some unique mods. I like to get ideas from them.

Like extra luggage space:

Something like that .... not just stickers.... But, that was kind of funny.

Chad68 - In your signature, you show a CSR Coolant Catch can mod. Have a picture or can you explain how you did that mod? Where does it attach? Can a guy buy all the pieces at the local hardware store. Or, is it a kit and where did you get it? What did you like and dislike about the install.

Stuff like that.

Yes, 305's count ... But telling us the offset of those wheels in your sig might be nice.

Thanks for chiming in.

I saw one car with a set of those on it. The guy turned them back to the dealer. Not that they weren't nice on his black car ... Just that the dealer wanted a extra $1400 or something like that.

I got mine from the dealer but i had to take this deal because some guy had just turned in the Z from his lease which ended ( one year 14k miles ) and then i just bought it, and the rims were already on there. But the dealer said they go for like $1400. I was too hyped up about the actual Z to think about the rims knowing that i was going to get aftermarket ones sooner or later

They actually probably look better than my old wheel that were on mine.
It took me about 3 years before I bought my wheels. Then they ended up being takeoffs from '06 but I like them better than most and they had new rubber with them.

reason for those big tires? maybe the grounding kit you are running is throwing down some mad powa!

What makes my Z different?
maybe it is the 295 rear tires on a 10.5" wheel...
Maybe it is the wald front....
Maybe it is the black on black custom leather seats....
Maybe it is the Blitz rear spoiler.......
Nope, what makes mine different is the set of turbos pushing 17 lbs of boost!

OK so, now tell us how you built the motor to handle that powa and what type of turbos. Did you do the work yourself. How long did it take. Any pictures?

I went with 305/30's to fit the 10.5" rim better than stretching the crap out of 275/35's. They are actually a bit too wide for my liking and I will be downsizing to 295/30's next time.

I only know of two people here who have the same spoiler I do.

The grounding kit? Oh THAT thing. I was just bored when I did the grounding kit during the Holidays.

Wish I had enough $$$ to go FI next time I get bored.

I think I'm going on about this modding thing all wrong. Everytime I get a chunk on cash I buy a new vehicle to add to the stable instead of taking the dough and rebuilding my motor for an FI. Or, doing the suspension work I've always wanted. Now the wife wants me to spend money on a vacation and fixing the house up. Doh !!!

Here's where my last $2500 went; to buy this and fix this one up a bit:

Oh well, at least I have truck to go get parts for the Z in.

What I really want is suspension, built motor (with FI), better stereo, and custom paint with some carbon fiber peices.

Here's another unique mod. Cut your air deflector underneath so you can pull four screws instead of 14 for an oil change. If you have a splitter on the front it means you have to take it off everytime if you use the front bumper screws for the splitter like mine did.

Splitter:

Oh yeah, and the carbon fiber insert for my Satin Z badge up front.

I believe I have the ONLY 07 SMB in my area.
I have added the black overlays to the front markers and rear turn/reverse lights
Upgraded map/reverse/license plate lights to LED
And I have also applied Zaino for a crazy shine.
Up next is Greddy TT exhaust and what ever motor upgrades come out in the near future. She is still pretty much stock but Hell i have only had her a week.

Cheers

Kevin

P.S. Z_DRIVER
Can you tell me how to remove the panel from behind the drivers seat?

I don't have a unique mod but i just have unique combination of parts that makes mine unique to my area.

I hardly ever see any PPW's in my area, maybe one a month, if that.

I've never seen any 350z's in my area with 19" Nismo's, nor have i seen any with the Greddy Evo2 exhaust.

So if you see a PPW w/ a greddy evo2 and 19" Nismo's and Nismo license plate frames... its more than likely me.

(i'm working on getting more stuff)
