Default Taking my car to the dealer tomorrow...

Well I have an 03 LS with 5985X.... miles and it's about to be out of warranty and im pretty sure it needs a new tranny, everytime I shift into 5th with the RPM's over 2.5k or so it grinds, and sometimes when I shift into the 3rd over 3k or so it grinds. Im sure this is not normal and on a side note I have been driving manuals all my life it is not a new thing to me.

But my question is how do I go about getting the dealership to replace my tranny? Aswell as fix my clicking rear axles?

Thanks in advance sorry if this has been beaten to death.

As long as you are still under power train warranty, they should fix it for you.

When you pickup the car at the end of the day, most likely there will be a note on the work order that reads

CANNOT DUPLICATE.

Drive it with them and show them what it does. Rule out the "Can Not Duplicate" right away. That way they have no excuse.

Remember, just because the service-manager denies waranty-coverage, don't stop there. After test-driving the car with the service-writer and demonstrating the defect, if they won't cover it under waranty, immediately (and calmly) walk inside and talk to the dealership manager or owner. If he's a jerk too, then you can contact Nissan (or try another dealership if convenient).
