Default Looking to Z, but in need of 1 answer.

I currently own a 2003 GTS eclipse. Im definately interested in getting a Z, but when winter comes around its going to be my only source of transportation. So im wondering what current Z owners think of driving in the winter with the Z. Is it a huge hassle or is it do-able? thanks in advance...

I've heard more than a few people switch to Blizzak's tires, helps some. http://www.tirerack.com/winter/tech/...jsp?techid=116

Most get a beater for winter.

Welcome. The 350Z was never intended to drive in the snow, still there are more than 98 threads addressing the subject. For a daily driver in a snowbelt state, there are better choices.

Make sure you drop that eclipse off at your local junkyard when you're done with it.

You're saving the next potential owner from much embarassment by doing so.

With Blizzacks and TCS/VDC, lots of folks here drive Zs in winter without a problem.

As always the Rat says the most with the least words.

There are several good winter tires which are fundamental for the Z with it's wide wheels and over-power potential on snow and icy conditions. Clearance can be a factor depending on where you live and if they plow the roads.

If NYC cab drivers can do it in their ****ty Crown Vics and Towncars with generic $20 tires from Costco, then a 350Z can do it with TC/VDC and snow tires.

How often do you really drive in the snow where you live? Its only about two or three times here where you are actually driving ON snow. The roads are cleared by the next day. I plan on taking off from work when the roads are snowcovered

i think Houston, TX is due for a snow storm this year....yup, that entails a few flakes coming down with a little rain and then melting once it hits the ground....that should last for about ummm...hopefully at least 30 minutes this time around....yeah....DAMN IT, I HAVE NEVER HAD A WHITE CHRISTMAS...maybe it's cuz I'm Asian...egh...I bet some people say the same thing but instead of white, they say "DAMN IT, I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ASIAN CHRISTMAS"...but then, white in that first quote refers to snow...so to say an Asian Christmas will really make you look stoopid...along with spelling stoopid with two O's...
