Based on this picture, it looks like it's 450 lb.
However, from what texlace listed and also shown in this picture, the GVWR is 3815 lb. Since these pics are from a base model, 3815 (GVWR) - 3188 (curb weight) = 627 lb? That's the total maximum weight with all fluids. That means 177 lb of fluids, which sounds right given the 20 gallon fuel tank.

Well....according to the owner's manual (http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/Guide...issan-350Z.pdf p 9-14 and 9-15), "overloading can shorten the life of your vehicle." There's also some blurbs about breaking parts, warranty jibberish, and loss of control.
Interesting thing on p 9-14. They define curb weight as the total weight (without passengers and cargo) but with fluids. I always thought curb weight was without fluids. Based on that definition, I would think that the vehicle capacity limit should be the same as the GVWR - curb weight, but it's not (450 lb vs 627lb)

But think of this from a technical perspective. I owned a VW fox with about 88 hp, seats for 5 so figure at 150lbs X 5 is 750 lbs plus luggage and gass so figure 850-900 pounds. (I cant see how any 4-5 passanger car can get away with less than 800 pounds allowable). The Z is a 2 seater, but I don't think it is made any differently than a 4 seater, except for the lack of rear seats.
Now the Z has more than 3 X the HP (than my VW) so it should be able to pull a good deal more weight, the Z has a much stiffer (heavy duty)suspension than any car I ever owned. I pushed down with my full force on the rear of the car and it moved only like 1/4 inch. So there should be no problem with the suspension.
You will notice a performance penalty and may indeed feel "sluggish off the line" but otherwise I don't see a problem.
The only thing I may speculate on is the VDC or ABS may be off a little if the car is overweight, but I have no idea if this is so.
