Its 306hp at 268ft lbs of torque the 07s your racing must have some pretty bad drivers.Somehow these threads always turn into a previous model vs the 07 all are great cars.Doesnt matter what year some had there problems i traded my 03 for an 07 mainly because of the incredible HR motor and its capabilities just google it online. The HR motor is very impressive so whatever the OP picks its his choice just watch out for 06 oil consumption problems.

I got my 07 enth with the options that i wanted for $31K OTD so that equates to something like $27K sticker. I wouldn't buy a used sports car. Go for it man!

Go to West Covina Nissan. Tell Jeff you are off the forums and i garantee you will walk out with a brand new 07 in the color of your choice, enthusiest model. He told me that if forum members come in, with no swaggling, you will get it for invoice or near close. (give or take a couple hundred)
if you can affoard it, don't waste your time with the previous years. Yes they are good, but with the 07 you'll get the new motor, plus the satisifaction that you are the only owner and it's a brand new car. No need to worry about how the previous owner treated the car.

I would go for an 03 - non rev-up engine - The only problem with the 03 Z is the tire feathering but with an alignment and/or aftermarket suspension (which you'll probly add anyway) it shouldn't be a problem. I bought my used 03 in excellent shape for $21.7k out the door this past January with 35k miles. I would also go for a non-modified Z and work your way up. Styling wise the Z didn't change that much and so if you're modifying, you shouldn't be too concerned with that.
Buying brand new is not a wise financial decision, unless money doesnt matter to you. I would pick up something with a warranty or buy an extended warranty from the dealer.
I bought a certified pre owned with 35k. I only drive my car on the weekends. My buddy bought his brand new last year and he has as many miles as me, and a couple more problems.

Once a turbo set up comes out for the 07 i guess will see.But i doubt it will be a problem the engineers purposely left clearance for a turbo application when building this motor.
