Default Disaster at the carwash!

I've been hearing about some great car wash place where they hand wash your car, run it through a car wash, then hand dry it, shampoo the carpet & vacuum the car etc... So I decided to check it out, big mistake!!

First of all I kept hearing my car die & crank.. litteraly 10 times, so I went over to see .. I asked the guy if he was having trouble driving my car, he says "nah man, I havnt drivin a stick in a minute!".. I just put my head down... Then before the car wash pulls it through, he says "can you check to see if I have it in N?" so I looked & he had been driving w/ the E brake on! ... I told him & he goes "awww fo real man?? maaan I'm not trying to brake your car man, I dont have any money".... So I was getting a little pissed, then he started dragging it through, which it scraped the floor a couple feet, then it was fine.
I go inside to watch my car get washed & notice my tires are possibly rubbing against these metal walls about 4 inches high, so I'm ****ing freaking out.... then it comes out the other side & the dude drys it off, ready to go. I take it down the road & park to look over my car, I notice little scratch marks on a couple rims, so I'm a little irritated but not much, they wernt to bad, but THEN I see my smoked tail's, there usualy black black, clean looking black, but they looked dirty as hell! I tryed cleaning them when I got home but nothing came off, its not dirt... I dont know wtf this is! My tail's look like that have dryed soap or something all over them & I cant get the **** off.... lesson ****ing learned.

if they hand wash it why does it need to go through the car wash?

Those car washes are awful for any custom rims. The width of the track is not sufficient for most custom rims. Wash your car yourself or take it to a real detail shop that hand washes.

Sorry to hear that.
Next Time:

1) Pay a bit more and have someone perform a REAL Hand wash
or
2) Self Serve Car Wash

What about my tails? I just tryed washing them again, isnt doing anything... they still look horrible, I dont understand why they look like ****, I watched what they did & they didnt do anything special to the tails, oh man I'm really getting mad, I think I'm gonna have to re-smoke my tails, & then they'll probably be to dark. They look like they have water on the insides, that foggy look like I have a crack in the seal.. but I can tell it's not water... ooohh damn

I have worked at a car wash here in gulf shores exactly like that. After seeing co-workers handle cars and seeing the way the car wash worked. I would never ever ever take my car there

You FIRST mistake was putting it through an automatic car wash.

Your SECOND mistake was letting someone there drive it.

Your THIRD mistake was not inspecting for damage on the spot.

Your FOURTH mistake was not making them pay for the damage done to your wheels or making them fix your tails before you left.

If you care enough about your car, you'd wash it yourself.

Try using a claybar on your tails.

lesson learned.

Also driving around a car wash parking lot with your e-brake on is not going to do any irreparable damage, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Hope you didn't go through a soft-cloth car wash either, because there's all sorts of **** in those cloth fibers.

Someone once put industrial detergent instead of normal car-wash soap in a car wash by me.

It actually removed the clear-coat from every car that used it.

it will teach you, never to valet your car and never let some dude that makes $6.50 an hour drive your car through something with metal rails. For 1 they hire those doinks for their muscle not skills... and for 2 he doesn't get paid enough to give a chit about your stuff.

lesson learned for sure.... do it yourself
