"How much does that car cost?"
I'm starting to get annoyed by all the people asking me how much my car cost. Do people just have no manners these days? I was brought up not to ask questions like that unless the owner opened the subject.
I've had people at gas stations, red lights, work, shopping centers, etc just ask me, a total stanger, how much my car cost. It makes me very uncomfortable, because 1) it is none of their business, and 2) I don't want to sound like I'm boastful about my car. If they're so curious, there are better and more tactful ways to find out...like the internet.

it bothers me too, I typicly tell them 25000$, just cause that seems so much better than 30, if you tell them that, they get a different attitude. I actually told one guy it had a 4 cyl in it....
Im not wierd about telling people how much it is, I dont car, its not sensitive information that they couldnt get on the internet, but they just act differently.

I just normally say anywhere from $26K-$35K or so, if I answer.
I just find it is kind of a rude thing to ask.
The next question is normally "How fast will it go?", or "How fast have you had that up to?" Both are less rude, if a little pointless

Actually, I enjoy it when ppl ask about my car (price, power, spd, etc.).... I usually just tell'em that it starts out at around $26K and watch their jaws drop..... I guess our Z's do LOOK pretty expensive...
How do you think we feel in Canada? They sell for $45000 here and we get asked the same question all the time , but not too many vehicles sell in that range, it's definitely high end here.
 I don't mind being asked how much it cost.. I think everyone who has asked me anything about the car has also asked that question, so I'm kind of getting used to it. Most people who have asked me also think it's too expensive (WTF?), then I take them for a ride and show them what the car offers and they change their mind.

$37,251, every option on a touring 6 speed with NAV. That's my car.
I can't believe the people that say $25k and whatnot. Do you really want every person who doesn't even know what a Z is to run out and buy one, because it "looks cool"? ugh! If someone asks, I say just shy of $40k out the door, for my car.
it sure looks like an expensive car, just look at the style of it, the design and of course the performance u could almost be sure that it should be selling over 40k for that car but guess what? it's not!!
