I just ran into one of our SVPs who will be at the regional Nissan meeting tomorrow (I work for a large auto retail company) -- he will be driving the Z, the Murano, and other impending releases.

The good news: he'll recap with me Friday. He's a Z collector, former owner of 2 Nissan stores, I'll respect his opinion of my future baby.

The bad news: he asked when my delivery date was, then confirmed that I would not be seeing it when anticipated. There is a delay, I'll pry for more info on Friday and post what I can.

Doubtful that he's talking about the 1st delay -- I think he's talking about the "fax" that someone reported dealers got yesterday. All speculation for now though...

 

Mys salesman called me yesterday and told me it has something
to do with the steering wheel? I don't know how much truth is in what he say's but he did tell me in Atlanta the first shipment will be on Sept. 30th give or take 1o days on either side of that date. Not really the news I was looking for

 

September 30 +- 10 days is what I got as well (I'm in Atlanta).

Heard the same rumor from my dealer in the Atlanta area (Rome actually). Said that the bushings for the steering were being redone.

So what about the cars supposedly arriving in early August? Do we think a recall is forthcoming or did they manage to fix the bushings on a small number of vehicles prior to shipment?

It is a beer funnel. Check out the website for a better picture. That one is a little hard to see because I had to make it so small. There are about 15 funnel pics in a row in the "Party Pics" section.
