Default OK, I Admit It. The Z Is Great!

I've playing around with getting the Z for over a year. But I hated the thought of trading in my '03 s2k. ('03's the best year you know ). It's really a teriffic car, and I kept it up and then some and had some nice custom interior pieces. I wasn't sure I was going to pull the trigger right up until the last minute. But, I'll tell you, on the drive home from Connecticut to New York, there wasn't a doubt that I made the right choice. For me, it just feels right. And it felt right immediately. Even though I'm babying it, I can feel the power and torque are there. The F20C in the Honda is a remarkable piece, but you always have to work for it. The new VQ has grunt. And it has it all over the place. I love it.
I'm a big guy, 6'3" and the Z feels near perfect. Nice interior. Lots of toys too. I'll try to find something I don't like about it, but I haven't found anything yet. Man, the break-in's gonna be tough!

I have been wondering if you were ever going to part with the Honda.

a lot of big guys pretend like they wouldn't fit in it, but since it's a 2 seater it has a lot of leg room. the seat all the way back are closer in an escalade than a Z.

Thats cus you guys have longer torsos. If you only had longer feet and regular torsos, then you would fit fine in it!

Another big man fits!

I'm 6'4" and the Z seems to fit me like a glove. My only problem is my huge feet ... my size 14s don't fit on the dead pedal perfectly. Oh well, everything else seems sized great :-P

My biggest problem with this car at first was the fact I'd kill it because, or at least I thought, the clutch is much grabbier than the cars I've driven previously. However, about 2 minutes after I filled up the tank up for the first time (with premium gas), that tendency ceased ... plus the car runs smoother! I guess the dealership put crappy gas in it

i own an 07 s2k and 06 Z....and yes, they are completely different cars although people like to compare them so much. The s2k does what it was intended to do amazingly well and so does the Z. Enjoy the Z and i REALLY REALLY regret not waiting a few months for the HR. It's one hell of a motor.

welcome to the '07 club. I feel ya. This car is just awesome in every category. The engine is so smooth and powerful. I have the same issue with the clutch. Have to pay attention to keep it grabbin smooth.

Ha!! I had an 03 S2k also....I miss it at times, but the Z's torque is just awesome..Even though I had to have the Flywheel, clutch master cyl. Etc.. replaced, it's been a fun car so far...Hopefully the Z will have the same build quality as the S engine wise...Welcome to the boards!
