too much traffic in l.a for manual. pretty worthless. On open roads (hardly any around here) its fun with a manual. Just be happy with what you got, tell em if they dont like it to eat the big one!

Eh. With most people, an auto shifts faster, not to mention when you go turbo, it will hold boost better too. For something that you would track ... in all honesty, Id say get an auto. For daily use, manual all the way if not for the sheer fun of working the clutch stuck on an incline in traffic, then for the gas mileage aspect. Plus its more fun to slam the gears down when youre frustrated. Clicking a paddle doesnt do much.

+0.99. I have never once regretted my AT but have, an innumurable amount of times, loved the fact that my AT helped me out in situations when an MT would have been a biatch. The "oh man u wasted ur money" thing has gottn' old, but i'm the only one that drives it and i'm happy with it so who cares.

..but congrats to the OP on finally coming out of the AT closet..? i guess..?

It's sad when you have to come out of the closet for owning an automatic. Did the recent "Pride Parades" spur you on?

don't worry about the stupid manual comments... just remember, while they're busy shifting on the way home in traffic, you're right hand is free to preheat your girl... ;-)
