Default Please help me to decide color!

I'm ordering a new Z later on today and I'm lost at choosing the color!

I wanted to get the Le Mans Sunset but I'm afraid I would get bored of such strong color later on. My second choice is the Chrome Silver. I like it a lot but every car manufac. make cars with that color!

What should I do? I have 5 hours to make up my mind!

Please help me!

So your choices are between the most vibrant, eye catching, unusual color and the churn em out by the hundreds, one on every street corner, "boring, color?
Man you have one hell of a spectrum.
I went Le Mans Sunset and would make the same choice over and over and over.
When I'm at a stop sign, stop light, etc. you have no choice but to look at my car.
In the bright sunshine there is nothing like it.

Go with what makes *you* happy....don't worry about what other people have, or like.

I got chrome silver. I think Lemans is a little too strong. Some days I see one and think it looks striking, other days it looks bizarre, like pea green in the 70s. I tend to think silver is a classic sports car color. Especially with the brushed aluminum trim. I think some of the other color combinations don't look as seamless with the contrast of color and trim. I don't really care about how many others there are out there. I enjoy my car for me. At the Z meets I have been to, ~25% have been CS. Good luck.

Here are MYY opinions on color:

Le Mans: Awsome color to see on road, head turner for sure, but if I owned it, I'd get sick of the color after a while.

Chrome Silver: Very nice, but way too many Chrome Z's on the road now!! I want something that stands out more.

Silverstone: Perfect. Dark, yet not too dark, just the perfect color to me (besides black, haha)

Brickyard: Awsome Color, last year of production for the brickyard, so it will be very rare in about 5 years.. very nice..almost like a 2 tone.

Peaks White: Very nice color, almost like a "classic".. A PPW with mods on it would look awsome! (As some members have put mods on their PPW already).

Daytona Blue: Nice color, but looks too much like other blue's on the road.. if I were to go for a blue, I'd want more viberant blue, such as Civic Si Blue.

Super Black: Perfect if you have the time and patience to clean it every week. It definatly the best color on the road if you spend the time to maintain it and keep it shiney, but if you don't, it's also the worst color on the road. Plus, dents/scratchs show up very easily.. so based on how you take care of your car, Black could be perfect, or the worst nightmare.

Default Thanks for your help guys!

Your input was greatly appreciated! All comments make sense (considering it was so early in te morning! LOL...)

I know that with Le Mans Sunset the car would get noticed the most! But, is that what I want? Remember that there are jealous people out there who would easily leave our loved cars marked with their keys! Besides, that color maybe better for a younger guy (I'm 38)

Chrome Silver may be boring but classic. It does look good with the black tints and rims!

Thanks again for your help!

Chrome Silver!

No, Lemans Sunset!

No, Chrome Silver!

Just remember - silver is sophisticated and sexy, orange is ... orange. Go with the classic.

I'm only 28 (so I think, God I hope so, that I fit in the "younger guy" category) and wanted a color that no one else would have. So far so good. I get a lot of comments about it.

As for the "orangeness" (is that even a word?) I could see how some people might get tired of it or worried that while it may be cool now, it might be like the lime green couch from the 1970s. My wife's not that fond of the color (she would have preferred Daytona Blue) but her high school reunion is later this year and she insists on us taking the Z rather than her Sportage..guess color isn't everything.

Whatever color you go with, you won't be disappointed. Unless its silver and you just melt into the horizon full of silver PT Cruisers, 300Ms, BMW, Mercedes, Audis..ya know..but other than that

Some people have something to prove - because they're either young, lack self-confidence, need the attention, or just want their car to stick out - or all of the above. If this is you, don't get a silver. However, that being said, there's a reason that so many sports cars are silver. It's a great color, it's a classic color, it's a timeless color, and many people will like it when you finally get ready to sell the car. Oh yeah. I bought CS.

Get the color you like. I got CS because I happen to like it. Many on this board say CS is an all too common color. Well, I'm of the opinion that you can't group a CS 350Z in with all other cars that are similar in color. Just ownig a 350Z makes you different than the rest of the pack, regardless of the color.

I'd have to say get the Le Mans over CS. Beautiful color, and rare.

So you ordered a Z? Chrome Silver?

Edit: Never mind. I just saw your other thread where you stated you did finally order a Z. Congrats. You will love it.

Wayne, you weren't driving north down Lafayette Dr (I think that is the name, runs between Illinois and 95) last night, were you?

Passed a silver Z as I was leaving Big Ed's. I wasn't in my car, I was riding with my sister.

Nope, wasn't me. But that's right there near the Nissan dealer in Oak Ridge where I got my Z. I've seen a couple of CS Z's, a Redline, PPW, and Sunset in that area.

I've eaten at Big Ed's a few times. Great pizza & beer!
