Reminds me of a certain silver screen supra . Always liked that color and the lambo orange . Only for the people that love the attention i guess .

I guess I am different from most, I had hope after seeing pictures, but after seeing it in person I was borderline offended by it.

Up close it has such a washed out feel to it that I feel detracts from the lines of the Z, very creamy with no real definition, but it is unique I must say. Although I would want my Z to be unique in a good way.

No offense to the owners out there, every ones got an opinion. I don't really care for orange on any car, lambos stand out as is, I don't understand why they make them in such outlandish colors.

I think the Solar Orange is an okay color. Personally, I don't like attention, so I wouldn't buy one.

Nissan is going for the older crowd. Like the bulge in the hood, the color is supposed to be from a 1970s 240Z. retro is in. or they're sick of dumb kids buying Zs and wrecking them.

 

lemans orange looked to much like rust, the more I look at my new 07 solar orange the more I like it.

 

Well, let's see... I have a Base model in Solar Orange. Between this thread and the "hating on the base models" thread, I guess my car is pretty well hated although not quite universally. If you don't like Solar Orange, that's fine. It's a controversial color, for sure, and it makes for strong emotions. What's important is that *I* like it, and I write the checks.

I love my Z.

I have seen it in person at the dealer and I liked it. It wouldn't be the color I would go shopping for, but it is pretty decent. My friend loved it, but I still prefer the Lemans Orange.

 

Everyone has their own preferences. It probably bothers the owner who is proud of their new orange Z for someone to say it is ugly! That person would not buy orange. I would not buy orange. I would buy orange before blue though. The last color I would pick is blue. In fact if blue was the only color, I would not buy the car. Some people really like blue so who gives a .... what color I like
The new orange does look awesome in the sun where the pearl an metallic really shine. My wife actually wanted that color but I prevailed and we got conservative silver.

 

Color looks very flat.....not too appealing, but I bet someone out there will like it, well just a few

 

I saw a lambo gallardo orange Z one time... looked sick, would definitely buy it. But Nissan's orange is subpar imo.

 

When I saw one I immediately thought that although it's a bright shade of orange, it looked dull/flat.

Le Mans Sunset is so much better looking.

I can honestly say the only one-year color I like is brickyard.
