+1 For Solar Orange...
Yeah...it's not for everyone...but when it's clean...it screams "LOOK AT ME!!!!!"

 

The main problems I have with this color is the contrast with other parts of the car.

The color is in too high of a contrast with the black tires, wheel wells, and the dark green house window area. While the red tail lamps just disappear being of too low a contrast. Also some of the bodylines do disappear in this color like the flare of the fenders and the hard upper-mid body crease.

I still think this color needs the right combination of visual mods to make it look right. Stock it just looks a bit awkward. You definitely can't miss this car on the road though.

 

I saw a dealership one day park a Solar Orange in front. The next day, it was gone & was replaced by a black Z. The Solar Orange was nowhere to be found but when I looked for it, it was parked way in the back where no one can see it. True story . . .

I might like it and be a little more acepting of it if Le Mans Sunset never existed, but having LS offered it is hard for to me compare the two.

the solar just seems a bit "gimmicky" to me and it seems odd that some colors that have been well recieved get a 1-2 year run and then they are gone.

I suppose I'm biased though. to each their own but for me. LMS FTW

 

There are several Solar Orange members on this forum. What do you achieve by insulting them?

 

the charcoal seats with the Orange stitching and perforations look dope too with the SO
The car deff needs tint and darker wheels with polished lips to set it off.
I had a few people ask me if it was a custom color and how much I paid to get the seats to match.
I was gonna get the burnt seats, but the wife thought it was tooo much orange and needed the dark contrast

 

IMO it is not a good color. It makes the 350 look too toyish and when I stare at it, it's not because I am thinking wow. It's more like what was nissan thinking. One dealer I went to tried to sell me one like 2 months back and I walked out right then and there and they still have it in the back of the lot. But like what was said it is not for everyone. This car will be perfect for october though. With enough black you can say the car is dressed as a pumpkin for holloween. haha.

 

+ 1million. I hate the new Z orange. The new hood doesnt help it much either.

Solar Orange isn't a bad addition to the Z coral. It's yet another interesting color for the 350Z to wear. However, LeMans Sunset is now an absolute classic and should always remain available to new buyers.

By comparison, most would agree that it simply blows away the new SO.

 

i think if they love the color like they should, they could careless what the haters think.

It's all about personal preference. That's why more than one colour is available and more than one spec. The world would be a boring place if everyone was the same.

I gurrantee you guys if Solar Orange came out before Lemans you would not like Lemans.

It's the way things work. Both oranges are nice.

 

OK boys, this is the OLD man who has the SO and had the brickyard. All you haters of the color can kiss my a**. No not really, at first i to did not like the color but i liked the improvements from 2003. Nobody liked the brickyard until they saw it up close, its the same with this color. I have had it for about 4 months, lowered, nismo exhaust, overlays, tent and painted the front lower lip black, black wheels in the future. BTW this car won best 350z oem acouple of months ago at the inland valley auto show and will be at the peterson all nissan show this weekend, lets see how i do. if you want to see more pics of the SO go towww.bad350z.com...tom aka GEZZER
