Default Spinning tyres in 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.. how bad is it for your car

JDM RHD Version S, VDC, Brembo etc ... when i redline with the X to the board from 1st gear to 2nd gear and then to third.. i get a lot of wheel spin on the first shift and some on the second shift of course with the VDC off... i love doing it as i feel the whip when the tyres regain traction... am i damaging anything besides the tyres from over use? I don't do it all the time.. i love to do with when the road is wet though! Oh i never launch though!

Wow. You can spin crummy tires in the rain. Impressive.

can i make a suggestion there andretti?

look around here. search for "totalled my Z" threads. you will find almost every single one of them involves driving in the rain under NORMAL driving conditions and loosing the back end and totalling a Z.

you are the dumbass that thinks its cool to turn VDC off and purposely let the back end slide around? your next post will be a "totalled my Z" thread if you are not careful.

If you MUST spin your back end, consider a HPDE or maybe a parking lot in the rain. at least that way you wont hit anything or kill anyone else.

Any tire will spin in the rain Now if you are still spinning 3rd on dry then get new tires. Well just get better tires in general.

you are not gonna dammage anything in the short run except your tires. In the long run your clutch and tranny will take excess abuse slamming gears and burning the clutch; also, agreeing with everyone else, be careful driving like a nutbag, you only think your in control until your back end comes around and your the "totalled Z" club member.

You need the driver mod! Sounds like you're going to trash or crash your car driving it like that!

you're not shifting hard if the car doesn't get sideways shifting into 4th

I usually spin 1st, 2nd and chip 3rd with 275 rear tires in dry road condition. So far my mod is HKS exhaust, Blitz drop-in filter, and Works XD-9. Gonna install SSV intake manifold in a couple of weeks.
