Question

So did you rent a 350Z for the weekend?
Is it satisfactory for a 2 hour commute?

Same for me. Thoroughly enjoy taking the car out to the store or to work. Only problem I have is finding a parking spot that is ding free.

just got an 04 and I drive 20 miles to and then 20 miles home everyday not including random crap. I love the car, but with a sports car you get a rough ride, engine noise, exhaust tone and a car that cops love to look at. The seats I have no issue with not bad if you ask me. I will say traffic in the Z is not great as the clutch is very firm, if you get an 07 or 08 people on here say it is lighter. I get 25mpg

I DD mine and get ~22mpg and love every minute of it. Being stuck in traffic has never been so much fun.

I never get over 20 mpg. Usually 19 mpg... but I do warm up my car for quite a while.

I bought my '07 Enthusiast specifically for a commuter, but find myself taking it on longer trips as well.My wife, who has back problems finds the car very comfortable on long trips, and the hatch area will stow a lot more luggage that it appears.I got mine with the side curtain airbags, and from what I have seen of the Z in an accident it will take a huge hit while protecting the occupants. This is an extremely well built and engineered car, that in my opinion owns the under $30K sports car niche.

the clutch is anything but firm - you must be used to some wimpy cars!

If you're going to be on the highway, then I wouldn't expect bad mileage, but it's still going to be a b*tch to fill up much more regularly, than if you were to get an average 4 cylinder car.
