NO IT ISN'T. The 335i spanks even lightly modified Z33's and G35's. LMAO!!! Much less everything else the bimmer offers that the Z can't.

Sorry but the Z with the HR engine and the 335i are basically dead even in performance with handling going to the Z. My friend owns a 335i and we have played a little, lets just say depends who gets the jump will stay ahead.

You're right, I'm wrong.

I was ONLY comparing 1/4 mile times for the STOCK 2007 Z and the 335... Not every Z33.

As for the other goodies that come with the 335... If I really wanted them, I'd have spent the extra 15K - 20K and gotten the 335i. But that would be silly since all that fluff is already in my MB E350.

that would have been the wrong category; the 335ci coupe BMW is categorized in the same slot as the G37 coupe that is awaiting release [it's a simple age-old concept of matching seating, engine, chassis configuration with one brand against another--4 seat coupe vs 4 seat coupe (Ci vs G)]; i'm not sure why not everyone seems to understand class comparisons. but if you voluntarily want to compare apples with carrots, then by all means, you have every right to compare the two; 335 vs. 350Z...

I like the Z4 M Coupe. I hope to see some US magazine comparos of the Nismo Z, Z4 M Coupe & Cayman S. I think the Nismo Z will hold its own quite well.

However, stock turbo cars are easily modified and generate big performance increases for little money invested.

these two cars are far from comparable... regardles of being stock or not,.. the 335 owns the 350z..

The Z4 would have won if it was driven by this man:

I dont see how thats possible. My cousin has the 335xi and ive raced him. I have I/E and manifold spacer and im dead even with him all the way up to 100. On the launch he'd eat me but he accepts that we're even on the highway. I'd rather have the 335i coupe personally, and he knows that but they're not very different in terms of speed. In the handling department, my Z has that car hands own.

I'll have to disagree with that simply from firsthand experience, I won't get into any more details, but some have already made comments on this thread about how they match up from either dead stop or roll...
