Which dealership did you go to?

My ABS actuator went out and I also have the clicking noise.

They told me they wont fix it because I have 19' rims on my car that are aftermarket and too big.

I went to the Nissan in Richardson, TX.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act basically says that you can't void a warranty due to unrelated issues...

hahahahaha, you gotta be kidding me. What about the 19's on the back of the newer grand touring and track models?

I think you just need to go up there and talk to the right person, Mark Bailey. Tell him you are on the forum and that we recommended you bring it there. I have some stock wheels you can borrow if you want to do that.

Your first mistake was going to Capitol Nissan. I have never had anything good happened there, and I have given them more chances than they deserve because they would be convenient to take both my Nissan's to.

Falore Nissan comes highly recommended by quite a few on this board and if I had warranty work that needed doing, that is where I would leave my Z. West Covina might be great but at 350 miles from the south bay, its a little far to drive for service.

Talk to Mark Bailey at Courtesy Nissan (Richardson), or Bandon ??? at Nissan of McKinney (tell either one of them you know Nick with the white 350z with black wheels and that i said to talk to them).

There is a really cool guy at Don Davis Nissan, I'm pretty sure his name is James, might be called Texas Nissan of Grapevine now (Grapevine, not Arlington), i think his name is James maybe, heck, i'm pretty sure he is on the forum. His screen name was DonDavisNissan but i think it changed recently to TxNissanGpv maybe. Someone else might remember his name.

Anywho, i hope this helps.

dude i got ****ed over by the dealership too for the clicking noise, but not in the same fashion. instead of fixing the problem, they do a 12k mile service and tell me my brake pads were low so they could change em. at the end of the day i had new oil, brake pads, but my axles still clicked. terribly sorry bout ur volks though

Yea, this is prolly the worse experience period. I'm going to talk to them tomorrow and see what they say. I wouldn't put it pass them to deny all fault but this time, I will be the customer from hell if that's what it takes.

My advice is tell them to NOT WASH your car because they do it on their own.

They (Capital Nissan) fixed my axle click with aftermarket wheels. I always tell them NOT to wash my car. I had the Titan in there; they washed it; they scratched it. Now they are paying for the body work to fix it. I may be there this afternoon as well to pick it up. They're getting better, as they are under new management, but they're still tools.

Read the TSB: If it doesn't specifically say "does not cover cars with aftermarket suspension parts or wheels", then you're legally in the clear. They fixed mine without hesitation, and they know damn well it happens on completely stock cars.

Go to any local dealership. The TSB covers you, and the stockies make your life easier apparently.

If the offsets are right then there would be no reason that they should not fix it. I ****ing hate dealer washings also, I have 9,000 miles on my car with a beautiful paint job. I took it to the dealer to get the oil changed and received the "courtesy wash". They did a ****ty job washing the car and then dried it- putting swirl marks all through the paint. ****ing retards

Thanks for your help. I'm going to go to Nissan in Mckinney next time. Is Bandon a service advisor? Or is he a tech?

Had my rear clicking axle fixed by Falore Nissan. And they didn't even hassle me with my mods. A great bunch of guys there.

Yeah and if a Nissan rep was to check and see if the car had modifications that caused the part to fail, Nissan can then reject the warranty claim. This means that now the dealership is stuck paying the bill and that is not how dealerships make money.
