Thumbs up Do Z owners wave to eachother while driving?

As a former Corvette owner I know they Vette drivers wave to each others. Since the Z is a one of kind, do you Z drivers wave or flash light to one to another? I am asking because I don't have my Z yet, (Aug04) but don't want to look like a jerk waving to other Z drivers that don't wave. Thanks

I wave, though I usually feel silly because other driver's don't wave back.

Personally I never feel embarrassed to wave at someone in a Z; If they don't wave back, that just them. There still are plenty of Z owners who retain the initial joy of the car. They definitely will wave. Like cbduece says, I'll definitely wave at another Z; so come to California.

I've had the car since Nov 02, and initially everyone who drove a Z had put a lot of effort just to get one. Everyone waved and beeped and pulled over when I was stopped. Now there are many more Z's on the road and fewer people are interested in waving or nodding at another car. I guess the bloom is off the rose after two years.

I miss the day when a beeping car (not a Z) drove by me with three females lifting their blouses. That is real appreciation of my car! When they saw that I am 63 yo, they looked at each other like 'what did we just do?'

Thumbs up

If I see other Zs in time, I usually give them a thumbs up.

hrm...every single time I’ve driven the z around socal - no waves. zero acknowledgement. in fact, g35c owners seemed to be more inclined to nod or wave over fellow z drivers (my opinion). oh well.

Funny - my daughter laughs when I wave or give thumbs up to another Z - - she thinks I should give a "zorro wave" ( Z ) - lol - but it should be done backwards so the other driver can read it - funny stuff.

If they see me they wave back, but some are "somewhere else" when driving. Re an earlier post about the Z maybe losing its luster, last night at a stop light a woman passenger in a new red Mustang told me "nice", then turned later and said "thats
gorgeous man". Her boyfriend/husband was probably pissed. I get those reactions every time I drive. Ive had the car since Aug 03.

I usually get waves or flashes from all gen Z, and even other cars like Vettes and M3/5's.

The only time I didnt get any notice at all was at a stoplight once... I rolled up next to a silver Z with a cute girl driving it. So, I look over, and say somethin like, "Nice ride" or whatever, she completely ignores me. People like that shouldnt drive Z's. Damn posers!

That's what I suggested as Z-salute, when this question come up two years ago...

j/k. I usually wave if my window is down or flash lights to any generation Z I see on the road. I don't care if I get anything back... every person is different.

Typically, it's the enthusiasts and the truly friendly that will return waves or acknowledgements. In my experience, about 25% of people return friendly gestures...
