i can understand the frustration you are going through. ive been through some trials and tribulations with dealerships and body shops. my lawyer has been my best sidekick when i dont wanna hassle with phone tag arguments. you gave them your business , some damage was done ,they said they would take care of it and the conversation was ended with a handshake as a sign of trust, now they are backin out and blowin you off. its almost like a slap in the face. have your lawyer write a letter, with that invoice slip your pretty much golden.

Default Update

Friends,

Update in the incident with performance nissan.

After speaking with my main contact/service director today. The following is what it was clearly disclosed to me.

1. They tried to get the RIGHT rim in + 35 but could no longer get due to being a special edition and no longer in production.
2. In order to make the rear rims have the same offset they would have get me two rims. Instead of one.
Due to the high price, that option was not selected. Their view was the following:
They only damage one rim and they felt that they do not have to replace the other left rear rim.
I must mention that my LEFT volks rim had a similar curb scratch as to the RIGHT one that was damage by them.
3. The Director’s offer was to powder coat in any color all 4 wheels at no cost.

I did not want to power coat the rims because of bad experienced before with power coating finish quality in my Mercury Silver TE-37.

I was given several choices by the director that included the following.
1. Power coat.
2. Buy right new rim in 22+.
3. Send the rim to Japan and have the manufacturer repair it.
4. I pay for the left rim to have both in the same offset. I get to keep the right rims that they are replacing. In other words keep both rear rims.

I decided to pay for the left volks. They will pay for the right volks.

I will get to keep the RIGHT volks that they are paying for.

The price I am paying is 755.00. I will probabl sell both used rims in this forum.

THE DEAL IS DONE AND APROVED BY THE SALES DIRECTOR.

I am just tired and do not want to make any inappropriate statement.
If you choose you guys make your conclusions as to what is your point of view is.

George from Pasadena,

All those options are not very good. You should get your car back the way you left it with them. If you dont then it's not your problem how they do it or how much it costs.

You should never have agreed to pay out of pocket.
They are responsible for eating the total cost.
As long as your happy, I guess is all that matters.

Holy hell!!!!!$755 for one rim? This is why I refuse to buy over-priced/low offset/wide rims being how easy they can get curbed on the Z.

George,

Sounds like they're ripping you a new one... You shouldn't have to pay a single cent out of your own pocket. They should have to buy both rims, give you the ones they messed up then try to sell the other set by themselves. Why should you have the burden of trying to get rid of them? It doesn't make sense. After they mentioned, "You have to pay for the other rim." I would have just said... okay, talk to my lawyer then.

Default Your Side of the Story

They may have been told the rim couldnt be repaired correctly that happen to me and the tire dept had it replaced a.s.a.p . and maybe they went into a wait and see mode ..duh ! 3 months customer service is lame ...My NorthCoast Nissan would never do that to me,,unless in there being no other alternatives, & they would have called me & let me and kept me informed as to let me know whats going on, Im sure there Sales Dept. has no trouble keeping you or anyone else informed , when there's a new z sitting on there lot .....Bummer ...

Not to be a dick, but whats up with the whole "George from Pasadena" thing? Why would we care that you're from Pasadena? Does that really matter?

he originially had a copy of an invoice for the purchase order from them (post #1). That right there means they took responsibility and if he would have taken them to court they would have been responsible to make everything right.

George from Pasadena,
I would have gone the legal route with them
