So I was coming back from my buddies house tonight at around 10pm and I'm going down a highway with no lighting at about 63-64 in a 55 and I come over the top of the hill and BAM! A dead bloated humongous deer is right in my lane. I barely had any time to react and i jerked the car to the left as much as i could but i still nailed it hard as ****. I could feel the front right tire hit it and totally bottom out the shock/strut. I get back to my house to asses the damage and I look and see that it doesn't look to bad. There;'s a minor dent in the passeger side door and the side skirts have a few deep scratches on them but nothing major. I went back inside and drank a few beers to drown away the pain and go back out there a little later and reallize that the front passenger side is sagging really bad. It looks like its been lowered like an inch and a half or something. I'm thinking it might be the strut.... Anyone else have any ideas?
Oh yeah, and for those wondering about the rear mount turbo kit it seems to be perfectly fine

haha nice comment, too bad about the deer, i had the same exact thing happen, ran a deer over that was at the top of a hill and my radiator was all dented in at the bottom... worst part was the smell of the deer flesh that got sheered off and caught under my car, i had to manually get under the car and pick it out it stunk horribly.
believe me my dear friend. I know what it feels like to see the love of ones life be hurting like that. well as far as what's wrong with it. here are a couple of things you might want to check out.
how does it drive? does the wheel shake when driving?
you might want to check out your:
*Strut
*Spring
*Lower Control Arm
*Steering Knuckle
*any bushings you might have toasted.
P.S. hope your not married, cuz i dont think wifey would like it too much if you knocked up a dear.. LOL

Sorry about your car though. I had that happen once with a brand new car. Absolutely sucks. Best of luck!

I haven't driven it yet today because i'm to depressed. But last night I drove it like 3 miles back to my house after the whole thing happened and i didn't notice anything wrong with the steering and the car didn't even feel like it was sagging or anything really.

my insurance company was giving me the run around like a ****. I wanted to know if this would cause my rates to go up since it wasn't my fault. They just kept telling me that they couldn't answer that until I filed a claim at which point it would be to late if my rates were going to go up to back out. SOME BS FO SHO

Just went and drove the car down the road to see how it was. everything feels fine its just that that passengers side front is sagging pretty bad. Well at least now i know that the nose will go into the driveway without scraping if i wanna get it lowered

Unfortonuately, the insurance will put it as your fault because you hit a non-moving object on the ground.
